OUR PASTOR
Rev. John C. Moreland, III was born and raised in Louisville, KY in the Pleasure Ridge Park community on the southwest end of Jefferson County, KY. During his childhood, he lived next door to his paternal grandmother, the late Rev. Beatrice Moreland, licensed minister with the UPCI, who begin taking him to church, church camps and church functions within the Kentucky District of the United Pentecostal Church organization and at the age of 13, he was filled with the precious gift of the Holy Ghost and baptized in the only saving name, the name of Jesus.
Throughout his youth and young adult life, Pastor Moreland was involved in music ministry, youth leadership and attended Jackson College of Ministries in Jackson, Mississippi. This is where he met his wife, Kathi Austin Moreland, and they later were married to begin their life together. Pastor John & Sis. Kathi have two beautiful children, daughter Hannah (husband, Daniel Richard) & son Cade, along with three beautiful grandchildren, Jayden, Declan & Audrey.
Ministry and service to mankind was he and his wife’s passion so in 2000, Pastor Moreland became a full-time administrative assistant in a church locally further developing leadership skill and experience in church leadership. However, at a young age, Pastor Moreland had felt a call to open a church in Pleasure Ridge Park so in January of 2010 his dream became a reality. At that time, he and his family conducted services in their home for one year until the door opened to rent a church facility for services in 2011. Then, after much prayer and fasting, the Lord opened yet another door to purchase their own facility in July of 2013. God has blessed and many have come to know the Lord and grow in Christ.
Pastor John & Sis. Kathi lead in humility with their God-given talents in speaking, music and service to others.
